Both Miniboard and Handyboard library have been ported to Gcc, the GNU C compiler that is standard fare under any Linux distribution. However, setting it up is a bit tricky since you must configure it as a cross compiler for the 68HC11. You will also need the assember for the 68HC11, which is not part of the gcc package, and the downloader for Linux to download the pograms onto the miniboard or handyboard. Start from the information contained in ftp://ftp.eskimo.com/u/a/archer/gcc281-hc11-readme You will find most of the needed files in the same directory on the same server. The miniboard library, however, is at: ftp://ftp.cmf.nrl.navy.mil/pub/kenh/minilib.tar.gz I use gcc 2.8.1 under Linux PowerPc and it works fine.
