Assistive Technology UML has a long history in the engineering school of working on assistive technology for the disabled, particularly sponsoring student projects to create customized systems that meet the needs of disabled individuals. Faculty champions for this are Alan Rux and Electrical and Computer Engineering chair Craig Armiento.

Community Connections Clearinghouse New at UML is this clearinghouse, whose mission is to match students and faculty who want to work with the community, with community partners and their needs. If you don't see what you want, talk to Sarah, who may be able to point you in the right direction.

DBA Inclusive Design Challenge "The UK's leading design consultancies are invited to develop innovative inclusive design scenarios for young disabled people and present them at this annual public forum." Geographically, this is pretty far afield, based at the Royal College of Art in London. But it doesn't say that it is open to only UK folks, and it is focused on "Inclusive Design," an interesting concept. Sounds like fun, and is an interesting model.
