Every new product project must have a business case that states clearly why the business should invest its scarce resources in this project. The new product cross-functional team, with the help of functions and departments including market research, finance, and legal, prepares the business case for the first major review, usually called the Feasibility Review (see Chapter 9). During the phase/review process, the team updates the business case and presents it at each review (see Chapter 12). The business case provides the basis for judging the success of the product in the market (see Chapter 13). IMPORTANT NEW IDEAS HERE.
