1. Order book for next week.
Next week's assignment will be from Marvin Minsky's landmark book, The Society of Mind (1987).
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO PURCHASE YOUR OWN COPY. IT IS QUITE INEXPENSIVE AS A USED BOOK, BUT ORDER IT NOW PLEASE SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE IT BY MONDAY SEPT 26.

2. Verify that you have read/write access to this week's article selection spreadsheet.
By virtue of you having access to our Google group, you should have access to the following spreadsheet:

Note: you won't have access to the readings until you have access to this spreadsheet.
3. Look over the Table of Contents of Computers and Thought, and claim an article.
The assignment will be to select an article from this compilation to read and review. The book's table of contents is here:
Please decide which article you want to read, and enter your name next to that article's title in the spreadsheet above.
One student per article; first come first served. And don't try to erase each others' names because all edits to the spreadsheet are in the history :)
4. Write a two-page summary of the article per the instructions from last week.

As last week, write a two-page summary of the chapter. Same guidelines as last week for length, filenaming conventions, and acceptable file types.

Those of you who are having issues with your CS cluster logins (cs.uml.edu
