1.familiar- linear reading 
2. smell and feel of paper

1. Becoming more  familiar with young people 
2. links lead to other resources and background information 
3. More than one person can access the information at one time 
4. Authors get bigger royalties 
5. Lower production costs 
6.mistakes can be corrected

1. 2 sizes, small, light weight 
2. liquid crystal screen has backlighting and can be read anywhere 
3. book diskette small and light weight 
4. can download other  reading material from the internet 
5. built in dictionary provides support for readers 
6. possibly a mini-printer attached for notes  or copying sections

2. smell of must and dust- asthma and allergies 
3. storage can become extensive, weight can become extensive- shipping can be expensive 
4. pages yellow with age and tear out easily 
5. high production costs, out of date at printing time 
6. mistakes frozen in the text

1. Bulky to move desk top models, heavy and stationary 
2. lap top models more expensive and still a bit heavy 
3. Needs power source 
4. Some people don't like reading off the screen with scrolling and linked text. 
5. Linked text can lead to unfocused reading- getting lost in cyberspace 
6. Harder to bookmark and keep notes 
7. Copyright hard to protect 
8. job of librarians difficult because of difficulty of classifying version of a text
