Dennis Carr, a Californian probably best remembered for being a 1968
Olympian for the U.S. in the 800, ran a 1:49.2 880 in his senior year
(1963, I think)(then a national record, I believe) but had a 4:08.2 (I
think) mile as a Junior in H.S. He ran at USC and qualified for the
Olympics behind Wade Bell.
