Date: Mon, 23 Sep 2002 13:30:11 -0400 Sure, here you go. This actually includes some updates regarding C++ vs. Java. I'm guessing by your subject that maybe you're concerned about what I meant by "before the semester is over"? What I meant was, I'll make sure you have FINAL copies of everything before the semester is over. I'm trying to reserve the right to make minor, incremental changes to the documentation as the semester progresses to account for changes that I'm bound to need to make as I move forward. That way everything you have is in sync and well documented at the end of the semester. I'll make sure you have rough drafts of everything as soon as they're ready. I have laid out a rough schedule inside the first design/requirements doc that I'm forwarding to you now. Speaking of changes, I think I already figured out a fairly major change that I need to make (to the design/requirements doc), based on your feedback and doing some reading about XML. It looks like one schema file would equal one xml file. The data is an optional addition in the bilateral flow however it is not separate in the XML document, as it is in the *.dat and *.sch file. Does this sound right to you? I would be happy to meet with you if you like at any time, if you want to talk about the state of this project. I do feel like things are moving forward, and I'm particularly grateful for your earlier feedback. Thanks, Chris Geggis chris@geggis.com
