We'll have a short 06f522 class here 5:45PM to 7PM as an add-on RoundTable in the Cafeteria. (Come at 5:30 for refreshments.) Bring assignment 1 to discuss, or email it in advance. We can also discuss data models for Monopoly and other games. I'll hand out asgnt2 and answer questions about it (on candidate keys). I recommend you review surrogate keys in $PH/Obj-RelDBv05f.htm or .ppt. (Note: v05f is an update to my older $PH homepage link.) (Deja vu: Slide 5 or 6 is redundant.) Other questions to think about: [Slide 25: What do the terms non-exhaustive and/or overlapping imply about multiplicity on inheritance links?] [Slides 26-32: illustrate parallel subclassing (which is NOT the same as multiple inheritance). It gives state models for concurrent behaviors. In this simple case the behaviors are independent, so the state model is a DIRECT product of two parallel state machines (a nice but rarely applicable special case). We'll get to this in 06f522 Part 2 Dynamic Models.] ------------------ The real SPIN meeting starts in the Auditorium at 7: with Ambler's talk at 7:10. They kick us all out at 8:30. Note that you need to show a drivers' license or equivalent to get past the guard. Miter is just E of Rte3 and just N of Rte 62. Coming South on Rte 3, exit to Rte 62 East, and take 2nd left into Mitre. > Directions: Please see our web site at: > http://www.boston-spin.org/directions.html Bob Lechner ------------------------------------------ > Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN) Meeting Announcement > We will meet in our regular location at MITRE - Building S)=20 > > Topic: Update on the Unified Process: Something Old, Something New, > Something Borrowed, and Definitely Something Blue > =20 > > =20 > > Speaker: Scott Ambler =20 > > When: Tuesday, September 12, 2006 6:00pm-8:30pm > 6:00-6:45 Networking and Round Tables > 7:00-7:10 Announcements > 7:10-8:10 Presentation > 8:10-8:30 Questions and Answers > > Who: Everyone (Industry, Government, Academia) > > Location: The MITRE Corporation, 202 Burlington Rd.
