9:00 - 9:05  Welcome and agenda
9:05 - 9:40
  • Brief introductions
  • 3-minute summaries of position papers
  • "What I want to take away from this session"
9:40 - 10:10 Brainstorming:  "Questions about Informal Programming and How to Answer Them" 
10:10-10:30 Decide Session I and II group discussion topics (ideas); finalize agenda; group signups start.
10:30 - 11:00 Break
11:00 - 12:15 Finish signups; Session I groups.
12:15 - 12:30 Perspective:  Bonnie Nardi (author of A Small Matter of Programming)

Afternoon

12:30 - 2:00 Lunch (a group reservation will be made for those who are interested.) 
2:00 - 3:10 Session II groups (may continue on the first session.)
3:10 - 3:30 Allen Cypher:  demo of new tool Stagecast Creator in the media room.
3:30 - 4:00 Break (Creator demo can hopefully remain set up in the media room.)
4:00 - 5:15 Groups present results and lead discussion.
5:15 - 5:30 Wrap-up; discuss where to go with workshop results.

Read position papers posted on the pre-conference Website.

Be prepared to participate as described above.

Note small groups divide the following roles among their members:  chair, secretary (writes report for conference proceedings), and publicist (poster for display during CHI.)

Conclusions

At the conclusion of the workshop we will discuss whether to seek publication of the workshop results as a book or by other avenues.
