91.514 - Internet and Web Systems II - Fall 2002
Dr. Haim Levkowitz
Associate Professor of Computer Science

Tentative topics and schedule

The Web is constantly changing and evolving. New concepts and technologies keep coming up. Among the most recent, and forward-looking subjects we find today are:

  1. The semantic Web.
  2. Web services.
  3. Peer-to-peer computing and networks.

As it is becoming clearer, these three are tied together, and becoming the building blocks that will allow us to create a Web that is more capable and provide more meaningful access to information and capabilities.

This semester we will explore each one of them separately, and how they tie together.

We will be reading and discussing papers from the current literature, and selected chapters from books.

Schedule

Will be completed once every one has selected her/his presentation topic.
