Dr. Haim Levkowitz is Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and Managing Partner at HyperGROWTH Ventures, LLC of Andover, Massachusetts. At UMass Lowell, Dr. Levkowitz’s teaching and research have focused on advanced Internet and Web technologies, computer graphics, and visualization and information presentation. He is Co-Director of the Institute for Visualization and Perception Research, and has recently established a new Web research laboratory. He has also been a Visiting Associate Professor of Computer Science at Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva, Israel, where he has taught computer graphics and Internet / Web related courses during the last three summers.

Dr. Levkowitz is an internationally renowned authority on color graphics and visualization, user interfaces, and information presentation. He is the author of "Color Theory and Modeling for Computer Graphics, Visualization, and Multimedia Applications" (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1997), co-editor of "Perceptual Issues in Visualization" (Springer Verlag, 1995), and author or co-author of over 30 scientific publications.

Dr. Levkowitz ‘s close to three decades of experience in the computer and electronics industries includes several businesses and over 17 years of academic research and teaching in graphics, visualization, medical image processing, the Internet and the World-Wide Web.

At HyperGROWTH, a virtual incubator / accelerator helping high-tech startups, Dr. Levkowitz leads high-tech venture acquisition, investments, and development. He provides technical and business consulting to HyperGROWTH startup companies, and acts as a mentor and consultant.

Dr. Levkowitz is a Director and part-time interim CTO of New Millennia Solutions, Inc., of Cincinnati, Ohio, an Internet, e-commerce startup; a co-founder and member of the Scientific Advisory Board of AnVil Informatics, Inc., of Lowell, Massachusetts, an analysis and visualization company, offering professional services and software to companies in need of expertise and tools to analyze large amounts of data; co-founder of dov-e-games.com, a non-violent computer games developer; and member of the Advisory Board of Cognate, Inc. an e-learning startup. In addition, he is involved in a couple of other early-stage ventures, which are too early to be mentioned.
