Course goals

This course presents an introduction to object-oriented software development using the C++ programming language. The material in this course is organized around the language extensions that differentiate C++ from its predecessor, C, but the object-oriented software development paradigm is the true course goal. Topics include C++ language extensions, general object decomposition, class hierarchy and inheritance, polymorphic object behavior, the use of class libraries, and object-oriented analysis.
