VR1 Trimpot

I have provided qty 300 of a "nice" style of thumbwheel trimpot and qty 150 of a "not as nice" style. The "nice" style has four pins and mounts so that it protrudes over the edge of the board.

The "not so nice" style has three pins. Please mount it so that the wheel of the pot also protrudes over the edge of the board, using the inner set of three mounting holes.

Please use all of the "nice" trimpots before mounting the "not so nice" ones.

LCD Backlight

Using hookup wire, connect from the LCD pads labeled "anode" and "cathode" to the PCB pads labeled "Backlight." The LCD anode is connected to backlight +, and the LCD cathode connected to backlight -.

C15 & C16 Mounting Notes

Capacitors C15 and C16 (47 uF tantalum) were added to the design after the PCB was submitted for fabrication. They need to be inserted into through-holes that are conveniently available in appropriate locations.

The diagram below shows the mounting locations for C15 and C16.
