These diagrams illustrate the prototype of the MIT Meme Tag. We plan to begin production on September 29,1997. We plan to make 425 units for delivery on October 6, 1997. We can supply a mechanically correct prototype for design of casework by September 20,1997.
The full view shows the tag with some coins for size reference. The LCD screen is fairly large and is backlit. The Tag hangs from an elastic cord.
The side view gives a sense of the thickness. The second generation prototype will use two AA cells rather than the nicad battery pack.
The open view shows most of the circuitry. The large square chip is a 68HC11; the chip to the right of it is the static RAM.
