As it turns out there is a 4.4 Character delay between the first $FF and the first real character which causes the E9 to timeout so this probably still won't work depending on your PC speed. Thanks to Michael Milway for his work. Michael and I are both thinking about a solution to this and you will certainly read about it here. This version of dlm uses the CCT serial toolkit so the .c file probably won't do you much good but some people were asking me for a .exe file and that is there also.
