About me

Recently, I had the honor of rendering a first salute to two of the newest Marine officers.

I am currently a Senior at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the Computer Science Department with a Bioinformatics Option. I am planning to persue the B.S./M.S. program also with a major of Computer Science with a Bioinformatics Option. I am working for Dr. Grinstein at the Insitute for Visualization and Perception Research. I enjoy figuring out problems, as well as improving on already existing programs. I am also a Corporal of Marines, currently holding the position of Wire Chief which is usually assigned to those who hold the rank of Staff Sergeant or higher.

I am from Dedham, Massachusetts and my family is from Turkey. I have visited Turkey several times in the past. I've also had the opportunity through the Marines to go to Australia in the summer of 2007.
