As I mentioned in class on Wednesday, I received an invitation (for myself + two students) to a series of tours and lectures at MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center in Cambridge. This is a special trip opportunity for high school students. The field trip is on Thursday, December 9th. The program starts at 8:45 am (at MIT) and finishes at 1:15 pm. There is an optional tour of other parts of MIT that begins at 3 pm.

If you are interested in going with me (limit 2 students), then please write me a memo explaining why you would like to go (first dibs go to students applying to MIT; next to students planning on studying engineering, chemistry, or physics in college). I need this memo on Monday, November 30th. If more than two students want to attend, I can request additional slots, but I must do so ASAP. We will figure out what to do for transportation.
