Homework Policy & Grading

I do not plan to give you many homework assignments, and those that I give you should take long to complete.
Homework is worth 10% of your grade.
Homework is due at the beginning of class. Incomplete or late homework will not receive credit.
If you think about the three bullets above, you should come to the quick conclusion that every time you miss a homework assigment you grade for this course could drop by 1% to 3%. What's the moral of the story????
Some of the assignments will need to be done on a computer with internet access. You may use the computers in the school as a resource. I am generally available after school on late bus days if you want to come in after school to use the computers in our classroom.

Homework Assignments

Don't Forget! You should be working on your best personal West Point Bridge Design and submitting your best results online. This contest is worht 10 - 15% of your grade and the top three bridges will win a prize! This contest closes on the last Tuesday of our class.

Homework Due Tu, 4/6:

HW4. Click on this link, print the page, then use your class time wisely to complete the assignment. I recommend you work with one partner (each of your use a computer to speed up the research process).

Homework Due Friday, 3/19:

HW3. You must complete HW2 before doing HW3. Spend some time (at least 1/2 an hour working on your design please--have some fun doing it!). Submit your best bridge using your personal account & local contest code TBSS.

Homework Due Monday, 3/15:

HW2. Register yourself for the WPBD local contest code TBSS using a user name 9D-Sally (use your own first name) and submit a bridge.

HW1a. Make a list of three career fields that interest you.

HW1b. Make a list of three colleges or technical schools you may be interested in attending.
