WhatWeHaveDoneSoFar2/11/09 - We have an idea on where to get a client for this project. Erin will talk to them and if they agree to be apart of our project, then we will have a more formal interview. 2/11/09 - I talked to the special needs director at my school and she asked me to come back again tomorrow. I guess she wanted to think about if we could help them or not. 2/12/09- I went back to talk to the special needs directors and they were unsure that we could help them. 2/12/2009- This Sunday I will be at the basketball league and possible clients could be interviewed here. Ryan could meet me at the high school and we could interview. 2/24/2009- Erin contacted the director of the preschool and arranged a phone interview for 2/26/2009. 2/26/2009- The woman from the preschool stated that she thought the kids in the preschool were too young for Ryan and I to work with.~Erin 2/28/2009- Ryan had interviews today at a nursing home with 5 potential clients and they were all dead ends. 2/28/2009- Erin interviewed three different families from the special needs basketball clinic. One boy has a disability that causes him to need a walker. His father stated that Michael had some difficulty using his walker and told me that he would have his mother call me since she spends the whole day with him. I also talked to Brendan's mom who has social and behavioral problems but he is very independent. I finally talked to one woman who's son is in the basketball program, but she wants me to work with her daughter. I think that we will be able to help her daughter with her learning and memory problems that affect her homewrok at home. Erin has decided to visit this little girl after school one day and see what we can do to help her with homework. 3/11/2009- Erin and Ryan came up with a couple of solutions to help our client and her mom. 3/13/2009- Erin will be meeting with our client to observe her doing homework. We hope that this will help us better understand how she learns and what she enjoys. |
