ScottYimAboutScottHey everyone, my name is Scott, I'm 16 years old, and I'm a junior at Methuen High...My favorite subjects in school are math and science, which is the reason why I'm at TEAMS haha! I don't know where I want to go to school or what I want to do for the rest of my life as of right now. I think I'm leaning in the direction of an engineering or medical field. Regardless of where I end up or what I end up doing, I just know that I want to be able to help people in some way. Aside from school, I love playing sports, listening to music, and going to shows. I'm really looking forward to meeting some new people and having a great year at TEAMS Academy!
I ran cross country and indoor track my freshman and sophomore years until they gave me a nice stress fracture in my shin. Not that I was any good at running haha...but I needed to keep in shape for my main sport, volleyball. Volleyball basically runs my life. I play it year round. I go to camps in the summer, manage the girls team at my school in the fall, play on a junior Olympic team in the winter, and play for Methuen High in the spring. I started off as a defensive specialist but am now my team's Libero. Aside from sports, I'm part of a really awesome program at school called Adopt-A-Grandparent, where we go to the senior center once a week to hang out and play 45's. I'm also Class President and a member of National Honor Society. During the week, I'm a teacher's assistant at SHED in Andover where pretty much all I do is play with kindergarteners! The little kids are probably the funniest people because of the fact that they aren't trying to be funny...they just are.
When I'm not at school, playing sports, or working, I spend my time with anything to do with music, which is a big part of my life. I sing (but unless I'm on stage in front of a crowd, most likely you won't get to hear me do it) and I play piano...and I try to play the guitar hahaha but I'm not very good at it. I was in a band about a year ago, and we had a pretty good following from which we recorded an album and even got to play at the Worcester Palladium. Some of my favorite bands are The Starting Line, The Audition, Paramore, My American Heart, All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, and Cute is What We Aim For.
FACTS - I drive a car named Franny (Fran for short!) and she's the love of my life.
- This one time, I was bringing "SexyBack" (Brittany was actually in the car...) and got into a car accident. I haven't listened to that song ever since.
- I cut coupons out of the Sunday paper on a regular basis.
- I have some really sick friends... Its always a party around us hahaha.
- I want a Macbook.
- I want to learn as many languages as possible. I can speak Korean fluently, and I can keep a conversation going in Spanish...not saying that the conversation would be spoken at a normal pace hahaha, but I "can" do it. Oh, and of course, I know English. :)
CONTACT - If you want to talk to me, you can find me on myspace or facebook, or both...haha so just search for my name and add it or whatever.
- I'm also on aim really often, usually on away but I WILL im you back sooner or later...its 'scottstissues'. NOT issues, though...there IS a 'T' in between there.
OTHER PICTURES
- This was my volleyball team from last spring. We made the state tournament and ended up going all the way to the North Finals, but got knocked out by Chelmsford.
- These are my 4 best friends from my elementary/middle school. They're like family to me. They are the type of friends that you don't always get the opportunity to hang out with because we are all so busy but when we do, its like nothings changed since we last saw each other. PS, the girls made us do that whole "friends" sign picture...how...cute...?
- This is MHS...we don't exactly have walls in our school, but it's something you eventually get used to. Our school is divided into 4 main hallways, northeast and west, and southeast and west. This is a picture of my class's hallway during our Deck The Halls competition. Myself and the other officers got like 20 kids from our class and the entire week before Christmas break, we would come in an hour early and decorate the hallway with absolutely anything we could find. It was ridiculous how much stuff we had up there...we were climbing lockers and using ladders and it turned out to be pretty sick.
PS. Methuen rides a short bus home... |
