RyanSchneppersAndNikilNathwanisCricketStrategyWe chose the go through the museum challenge. Our goal was to get our robot to follow the white line around the museum. We set the cricket up with a light sensor in the front and hooked up a display to see the light readings.In the program we used <150 for the white line and >200 for the black backround. Using these readings, we came up with a program that was supposed to make the robot follow the white line. When the white line was not the detected, the robot turned in a circle until the sensor on the robot found the white line again and the robot proceeded forward. We put this in a loop so the robot would repeat these steps to go around the museum. Since the above plan did not work because the cricket ended up going in circle continuously. The new strategy was to have the robot follow the white line until it saw black. Then did small turns that sweeped the area in front of the robot looking for the line. But we ran out of time so this plan was never finished. |
