PictureIDBoardProposal 3: Picture ID Game Like the other two top solutions, this one tries to solve the client’s problem of a visual verbal barrier. This means that the client has trouble verbalizing and identifying some everyday objects. To solve this, the Picture Board would be made up of a board with clear plastic sleeves in which pictures could be placed. Around these sleeves would be lights and a single arcade button beneath the picture. At this point a teacher or parent could say the name of one of the pictures on the board and the client would have to choose which one by pressing the button. If the answer he clicks is correct, then there would be flashing lights and sound to stimulate positive feelings about getting things right. If the answer is wrong the board would beep in a certain error pattern and all the lights around the picture would turn off, leaving the other choices for consideration. A huge advantage of this system is the fact that any picture can be placed into the board, allowing for unlimited learning. Another plus is the fact that the design allows for a second person’s participation which gives the client a sense of belonging while he still learns. Preliminary Diagram ![]() |
