1. R1 and R6 together is an example of a voltage divider. R2 is a voltage divider.

2a. pin3 is greater than pin2, voltage is about 7.83V, Light is on.
2b. pin3 is smaller than pin2, voltage is about 1.7V, Light is off.

3. V=IR
I=V/R

R3=5.3V
I3=5.3V/4.7kohms=1.1mA

R4=2.58V
I4=2.58V/4.7kohms=0.55mA

R5=6.71V
I5=6.71V/0.36kohms=18mA\\
