3 Main Ideas


Have buttons that move the device when hit - Jake
Make the mouse buttons really big so she can press them easily. - Francis
Make a mouse that has a large ball as a scroller - Johnson

20 Preliminary Ideas


A lot of the ideas we didn't pick are not fully devoloped because we didnt have much interest in pursuing them.

  1. Make a mouse that is very large and easy to hold
  2. Make a large mouse pad like on a laptop
  3. Change the shape of the mouse to help hold it
  4. Connect seperate buttons to the mouse
  5. make a rolling ball to move the mouse
  6. add a pole to the mouse that she can use to move it
  7. use touch sensors for buttons on the mouse
  8. turn the mouse into a tray table like mouse pad to reach her wheel chair
  9. make a touch pad she can use to guide the mouse with using a rod
  10. some kind of voice activated device(not likely to be done)
  11. have buttons that move the device when hit - Jake
  12. Try and imitate those computer stations you see at the museum of science.
  13. Make a mouse that is attchedto the mousepad so she can smply push the mouse instead of holding it
  14. Make a touch screen computer(not likely to be done)
  15. Use the tab key concept but with two buttons
  16. take a video game controller and turn it into a mouse
  17. make the mouse buttons really big so she can press them easily
  18. make something just like her wheelchair controller to move the mouse
  19. make something like a laser pointer that can move the mouse
  20. have a mechanichal arm that she controls that can move the mouse for her
