- So now, all we are waiting for is the duckweed amounts, which Taylor has.
BTW, it seems that even though we screwed up, everything worked out alright, and we can see a trend (phosphorous decreases as duckweed increases.)
- The final column shows what the values would have been if we had done the experiment correctly, and if the spectrometer actually went up that high.
-Manan Thakkar
- Sorry it took me so long to get this data up. My computer has been crap this week.
~Taylor
- Hey guys what are we doing for the poster I was going to write something in the intro and stuff up above, but I don't know what you guys want. Why don't we talk about it on Wednesday because we don't have to present until Thursday.
~Taylor
- Taylor, I think we can all contribute to each parts, so if you had some ideas for the introduction, then you should put it up, and someone else can add to that. It'll be easier for all of us to give each other some ideas like that once we start finalizing each part of it and assigne everyone a part to do.
- Oh yeah, aren't we missing like..the "procedure" and "materials" parts? Yeah Taylor and I sorta did our procedure thing while we were doing the lab..sooo I dunno if we just wanna put someone in charge of each, and after we can get together to discuss what can be added or taken out for each other's responsible parts, then have someone just copy&paste it all onto a template. Or do the above thing, all contribute and one finalize. o_O;; [The latter seems more time-efficient, but the former seems more thorough and sorta ensures we all agree and stuffs. o_O;;]
~Linda
- [+Hmm...according to the rubric, we need an Introduction (which would be combined with the 'background info' to explain the importance of the Question) the Question, Hypothesis, a detailed Procedure (the actual lab work plus the math calculations involved), and a Conclusion that is well supported by the Data. All o fthis shouldn't be too "text-heavy" (quoted from the rubric) ...and we should all know what we're talking about for the presentation! :O! I can put together the presentation on a selected template (i think we'll end up using the 8th one down in the 2nd column on this site: [http://www.makesigns.com/preparing_your_file12.htm] since the colors are appropriate and it's nice and simple, and easy to arrange things as neccessary because of all the blank blue space) if you guys fill in the neccessary pieces (like MANAN and the math calculations!).
*MANAN - math calculations, and might i request the title change for the graph? (check out that data link we have)
*TAYLOR - Hopefully you can remember what we did in the lab. I'll help fill in the blanks too. (We DID split the h/w of coming up with the procedure, so maybe you still have that.)
*LINDA - Tie together the info and put it on the template/poster!!
- Feel free to add whatever information or changes to these sections required for the poster!! I'll try to post up the poster onto the wiki for you guys to check out and discuss before tomorrow if you want.+]
~Linda
- Any ideas for a really awesome descriptive title? =]?
- BTW if you guys had to do any research for any parts of the lab, like how i did in the 'conclusion' part, post it up on the wiki, because i missed the part on the rubric where we have to cite stuffs too.
~Linda
- I can finish up the math calculations and the procedure. Also, Linda, do you want to post the poster up here or should I? We can add a part to it, save it and then reupload it.
~Manan
- I'm in the process of pulling together the poster now. If you want i can show you what i have now? or i can just plug in the rest of the textual info and post it up for you. Um, you can plug in the graphics stuffs since you have them already saved onto your computer anyways (graph, table, pics, blah). Then you can post that up and whatever little changes anyone wants to make they can? Or we can do that tomorrow morning maybe if we DO get the time in class to do that like Taylor said we might?
~Linda
- We should probably save more time tomorrow for working out how we are going to present, and make any last-minute touch-ups.
~Manan
- EEEK! Manan, I hope you're still up like you strangely are sometimes,..because the powerpoint's too big to upload onto the wiki! should i try sending it to you by E-mail so you can work on it? (like the results part with the graph/tables/pics, the unfinished procedure, and the calculations part?)
- Yeah, I'm still up. Lucky for you, lol. So just email it to me at thakkar1016@gmail.com
- Taylor, are you done with the presentation (making minor changes and all). You're the only one with the correct copy of the presentation, so its all up to you. ~Manan
- Yeh,I did it,I'll email it to you.Can you just allign it and stuff? ~Taylor
