CrowBrainstorm

Problem

Client is blind and needs help telling the temperature of food while cooking.

Possible Solutions

  1. Beeping Thermometer
  2. Braille Thermometer
  3. Timer
  4. Chef
  5. Heat Sensitive Materials
  6. Robot
  7. Adjustable settings
  8. speaker for different setting
  9. IR sensor
  10. able to mount on a pan
  11. a probe so it can be stuck into roast and water
  12. ipod compatable
  13. has some built in recipes
  14. Automatic Temperature Adjustment
  15. Gloves
  16. Talking Thermometer
  17. Heat Resistant Material
  18. Heat Sensors
  19. Pain Killers
  20. Computer Program

3 Best Ideas (Descriptions + Diagrams)

1 Probe Thermometer

This thermometer could set to a certain food depending on what the client wants to cook, and then a probe containing a heat sensor would be placed into that food. Once the heat sensor reaches the predetermined value that is an indication of doneness for that specific food, the thermometer will either beep or be able to play music from the client's iPod.

2 Pan Thermometer

This pan could have a component attached to it that could automatically determine the temperature of the food. This could also be set to different foods, and once the pan reaches the temperature that would mean this food is completely cooked, the thermometer would beep so that the client knows it is complete.

3 Braille Thermometer

This thermometer would consist of a box and a probe that contains a heat sensor. The probe would be placed into whatever the client wants to know the temperature of, and the value would be returned to the box. The box would then convert this value into the tempeerature that it represents and display it in braille for the client to read.
