WinAVR

WinAVR seems to be incapable of uploading programs on any COM port above 9, so if you're at home it will be necessary to change the COM port via the Device Manager. If in one of the labs it may be possible to reset the port assignments by restarting the computer, but you may have to switch to one of the lesser used computers. The computer sets a new COM port for each new robot, so it may be possible to continue using the same computer if the same robot is used.

Other Stuff

RealTerm

  • Hex must be sent with "0x" at the start of each byte.
  • In order to end a script command, you must shut off your iRobot and restart it again.
  • Contrary to what was previously assumed, you don't need to use a script when using the wait commands.
