Max's Text Clip Library -- Installation Instructions, Download, and ReadMe
This is sooo useful. Shaves minutes off each line of code. Here's what it does:
The File
Max's XML Clip Library for Programmer's Notepad
The Installation & ReadMe
- Save the file above and rename it to cr8.clips (Yes, change the extension. It's an XML file really, but programmer's notepad likes .clips files.)
- Move cr8.clips to this directory:
C:\WinAVR-20080610\pn\clips (If your WinAVR directory is elsewhere, move it to the corresponding directory in your WinAVR program directory)
- Restart WinAVR Programmer's Notepad (Actually do it, don't blow this off. PN needs to be restarted to recognize the new file)
- Find the "Text Clips" window. If you are running the default window locations, then it should be tabbed with the Project window. If it is tabbed, click and drag the tab so it becomes its own window.
- Drag the window to the right edge of the Programmer's Notepad master window. When the window snaps to the edge, release your mouse, and it should resize your work area accordingly.
- Use the drop down box at the top of the text clips window to select "Cr8 Command ETC"
- Double click anything to put it where your cursor is. Most functions have arguments listed, but return types are not marked.
