Communication Tools...

Skype

Consider downloading & setting up a free Skype account to communicate with your peers. You'll need a microphone & webcam (if you want video) if your computer doesn't already have one ( examples of an inexpensive webcam+mike, $25 and up).

Unyte

Also consider donwnloading and installing Lotus Unyte. This program works through Skpye to allow the person on the other end of the conversation to see you computer's desktop, powerpoint, documents, etc. Unyte will be a great tool for you to have if you are out sick and want to see a class presentation or if you need help troubleshooting your robotics programs.

OpenOffice It's Free!

If you don't have Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), consider using OpenOffice as a great (and mostly compatible) open source alternative. You can find it here: http://www.openoffice.org/

Cricket Links
