Welcome to Interactive Robotics Fall 2008

Are robots simply machines programmed to perform repetitive tasks? Or are they capable of complex decision-making and learning? In this introductory, hands-on robotics course, students will:

  • Explore robotics using the iRobot Create platform
  • Explore a variety of electronic sensors, to learn how robots use them to interact with their environment
  • Write control software using the C programming language
  • Learn about robot control architectures
  • Integrate their knowledge of programming, mathematics and sensors to create robots that perform a variety of interesting behaviors, including a final independent project.
