Final Clean-Up Tasks for Egghunt

Lisa Pinals (Billerica) demonstrating Egg Hunt robot to MA State Senator
Stephen Panagiotakos, Provost Pierson, Mr. Rhine, and Vice Provost Chowdhury

First things first--Congratulations!

Professor Yanco, Professor Martin, Greg and I are very pleased with the tremendous effort you've put in this semsters (an understatement) and the achievements you've made in 92.101 Interactive Robotics. Thank you for the time and effort you put in, and for being patient with me as we ran into problems with the curriculum along the way. We're already making plans for next year's course, and would value any input you'd like to give us! (click here for feedback page)

On to next semester. Maybe you'll see robots make a guest appearance in Assistive Technology & Electronics??

All robotics must be turned in by 5 pm Jan 23!

Including...

  • Egg Hunt practical exam (you must sign up for a time slot on Tuesday or Wednesday pm and BE THERE!! Don't forget...
    • Grading sheet
    • Wiki - keep it simple, and visually-orinted to support your presentation
    • Supporting documents as needed (staple to grading sheet for me)
  • Lab 5 Demo & Write-up (print out wiki page + flow + code)
  • Last few homeworks done? Did you lose points for missing parts on the Egg Hunt grading sheet I handed out? Last chance to correct!!
  • Wiki postings for Lab 3, 4, and 5 that I asked you to do - make sure you include photos !!!

Egg Hunt Final Wiki Write-Up (Due Wed Jan 23 at midnight)

Modify your team's Egg Hunt Strategy Page to include the following...

  • Make updates both from your individual point of view (perhaps color code?) and as a team
  • Overall look of the page should be clean and neat with nice photos!!- if you have a lot of text, consider linking to a sub-page
  • Revise the team task list to include...
    • Any new tasks that your team had to add to complete the task
    • A new column to the right that shows who ACTUALLY completed each task (or if it was shared, break out the % for each person)
    • Be sure to include a "build robot hardware" task (and who did it?)
  • Include a separate "Project Management Overview" section
    • Discuss what major challenges your team faces and how you overcamne them (or perhaps hpow they overcame you)
    • What coordination successes/problems did you have?
    • Procrastination or other problems?
    • What would you do differently from a project management perspecive)
    • Were the tasks evenly divided...I've been watching you work, and for the most part things seemed even, but in some cases, it seemed to me that oine person was carrying a much greater share of the load. Explain why and suggest to me how I should incorporate any imbalance into your grade (add points to one person, subtract from another?)
  • Add a results section - how did everything work both from an individual point of view and team point of view? Emphasize your successes--brag a bit! If you couldn't compete in the egg hunt, explain why not and what you coul;d have/should have done. Thinking back, is there anything you would have done differently?
  • Add a Lessons Learned section (or neatly incorporate a list into one or more of the sections above)
