The TEAMS Academy will close…
- ... when UMass Lowell closes or has a morning delay for weather or other emergencies.
- ... iIf several area schools closed for weather, but UMass Lowell remains open, we may decide to close the TEAMS Academy. Closures will be posted on the WIKI between 5 am and 6 am in the morning.
If your individual school closes but TEAMS does not…
- If your school closure or delay is weather-related, we will assume that your roads are not safe and we will NOT send the bus to your school.
- If your school closure or delay is a non-weather related emergency (power outage or other local incident), we will most likely cancel the bus to your school because we will not have sufficient information to guarantee your safety. Please call Mr. Rhine at 978-677-0660 if you have information to pass on. If we are not aware of an unusual local situation, the bus will run as scheduled.
- If you want to participate in class on a day you can't make it in, call Mr. Rhine and arrange for a Skype connection.
We will notify students of a TEAMS Academy or UMass Lowell closure by…
- We will post a notice on the TEAMS Wiki between 5 am and 6 am.
- The posting will look something like this:

12/8/08: Freezing rain/power outages. All schools closed or delayed.
12/17/08: 17/32 students delayed/Closed (Andover, Littleton, Chelmsford, Billerica) due to snow/sleet during commute
12/22/08: all schools delayed
1/7/09: all schools closed or delayed except Andover & North reading
