Lab1Group8Q2Purpose:To gain a better understanding of the wait time command and determine its accuracy Hypothesis:I predict that the wait time command is off by about 2 tenths (0.2) of a second. Materials:
Procedure:1. Turn on the Create and send 128 132(or 131) to start it. 2. Save the script 152 12 137 1 44 128 0 155 20 137 0 0 0 0 into the memory, then send 153 to play that script. Right after you make the script run, remember to start the stopwatch and then stop it when the create stops. This script will have the create run for 2 seconds according to the wait tiem command, the speed doesnt matter. 3. Repeat this experiment 4 times to get a more accurate reading. 4. After that, I redid the experiment with a wait time command of 3 seconds and 5 seconds, you change the script to these numbers by changing the number after 155, to 30 and 50. Results:Wait time 2 seconds
avg time: 2.21 seconds. Subtract 2 and get .21 to be the difference between the set time and tested. Wait time 3 seconds
avg time: 3.27 seconds. Subtract 3 and get .27 to be the difference between the set time and tested. Wait time 5 seconds
avg time: 5.42 seconds. SUbtract 5 and get .42 to be the difference between the set time and tested. Conclusion:The wait time is more accurate when it's time is set to less, maybe because it has less to do. The greater differences in the high wait times could also be due to human error because you can't use a stopwatch to time the creat exactly. My hypothesis was very accurate in regrds to the time when the wait tiem command was set to 2. |
