  • For some of the tasks, you may want to use the IR reflector sensor (IR = infra-red).
  • This sensor plugs into sensor port A or B.
  • This sensor sends out an "invisible" infrared beam of light, which will reflect off the surface at which is pointed. When the reflected light bounces back to the IR reflector sensor, the sensor will detect it and send a numerical value back to the Cricket.
  • You can use the value returned by the sensor to CONTROL the CricketBot. Usually it is very useful to use the Cricket Display (plug into the BUS port) so you can "see" the values from the IR reflector sensor, as shown below:
