USB IR Beamer

This plugs into the computer's USB port and lets you download programs to the Cricket.

To dowload a program to the Cricket, follow this set of directions:

1. Use the USB cable to plug the beamer into the USB port of your computer
2. Turn the Cricket off, then on again.
3. Point the beamer at the Cricket as shown in the picture below.
4. Press the "Download" button in the Logo Blocks program to download to the Cricket.

You should see the lights on both the beamer and the Cricket blink as the program is transmitted via infrared to the Cricket.

5. Press the white run/stop button on the Cricket to run the program.

Very Important

The Cricket will send a signal back to the beamer to indicate it has received the data. If the beamer is pointed at two Crickets, both will send back signals, resulting in an error. To prevent this, be sure that you are pointing your USB beamer only at your own Cricket when downloading a program.
