Fabrication Notes:

  • Clappers
    • Pre-test beforehand (40% defect rate)
    • Bend out leads
    • Mark + and - with whiteout pen
  • Shorten black lead on battery packs by 1 inch and re-tin 1/4" (thin!!)
  • When adding 3 leads to fans:
    • Shorten ground lead by 2 inches
    • Standardize colors of leads by groups of 16 (when using red/yellow, alway +; when using black/green, always GND; white is always control)
  • Color red (+) and black (-)
  • Pre-bend leads on the FET, and plug into breadboard
