Designs for the Final Wastewater Treatment Plant

We'll obviously be using gravity have the waste water transfer from each new container for each step, so each successive step should be lower than the one before it. We should brainstorm ideas about what gross stuff could be in the wastewater, and what we can do to treat it of that (this will most likely be chemical free unless there's a home-made and inexpensive way to remove the chemical before it is released to be reused).

Stuff in Wastewater to Remove

  • Sludge
  • Phosphorous

Ideas to Remove the Stuffs in the Wastewater

  • Sludge: We can let it sit so that the heavier particles drop to the bottom, and then use a filter for the finer particles before it gets transferred to the next cleaning container.

  • Phosphorous: Use duckweed.

Some things we said we might need

  • that thing that brings ocygen into fishtanks?
  • cheescloth maybe or somethign similar
  • tubing to bring the water to other tanks
