HomePageClick here for information about our August 2008 Summer Workshop!! Welcome to iSENSE: Internet System for Networked Sensor Experimentation. iSENSE is a collaborative project between UMass Lowell and Machine Science Inc.. We are developing a web-based system for aggregating and sharing sensor data collected using ordinary sensor probes used in K-12 classrooms. The system will allow high school students and undergraduates to view, graph, analyze, and export data from individual sensors, and to combine data from multiple sensors to examine regional, national, and global phenomena. We will support teachers and students in developing science projects with topics that range from human health to environmental science and energy conservation. iSENSE is funded by 3-year grants (DRL-0735597 and DRL-0735592) from the National Science Foundation's Advanced Learning Technologies program.
