Camera calibration
Camera calibration is important because it allow us to eliminate some undesirable consequences on the possible mirrors defects. On the other hand, calibration can help to use the images to established relations in between a sequence on images. Even if there is a proper research area on vision without calibration (e.g. [http://research.microsoft.com/~antcrim/papers/Criminisi_dagm2002.pdf single view metrology is a good example)
