This course is based on using the shell and Make. For Mac, you should install a package called the Command Line Tools:
- OS X 10.6 or earlier, get the command line tools: https://github.com/kennethreitz/osx-gcc-installer
- OS X 10.7 and later, download from Apple's developer site, https://developer.apple.com/downloads/ (free account registration required); search for “Command Line Tools.”
If you are already using Xcode, look for info on how to install gcc; e.g., http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-apple-mac-os-x-install-gcc-compiler/.
- OS X 10.7 or earlier, get the GCC - universal version: http://www.sfml-dev.org/download/sfml/2.1/
- OX X 10.8 or later, get the Clang - universal version: http://www.sfml-dev.org/download/sfml/2.2/
